Our tour leader Andi has sent us some brilliant pictures of Kyrgyzstan.  The Silk Road overland group travelled through the country for about 19 days and by all accounts, loved it.  They bush camped most nights in Kyrgyzstan’s great wide open spaces – which meant that showers were in short supply!  Andi sent us the following update on bathing opportunities during their stay…

Grant (Oasis driver) managed one shower in the country and I managed two in Bishkek before we headed out and bush camped for most of the country.  We all got to wash in flowing rivers from the mountains that were ice cold….and a couple of lakes.  Some travellers took advantage of our perfect yurt camp on Lake Song Kol that provided hot water after boiling a pot…  it was a fantastic country and I would recommend it to anyone.

Sounds awesome.  Hope Grant’s had a shower by now!
