Daphne's Peru Encompassed trip of '06
Our first adventure was going by local bus to Pisco, home of Pisco Sours - very more-ish indeed. We toured the Paracas Peninsula with guide Lucio, very interesting, and then had a rip-roaring evening over a delicious dinner in our hotel, the Posada Hispana. Next day we went by boat out to the Ballestas Islands with Silvio as guide...
Spanish School - Quito
It is a great idea to attend Spanish School before embarking on a trip, it's a great way to pick up the Lingo and meet some fantastic families.
Salkantay Trek & Machu Picchu
Ceris decided to try an alternative to the Inca Trail trek and instead she is going to trek around (that's around, not up!) Salkantay mountain, the highest peak in the Vilcabamba range at 6271m. She has been promised spectacular mountain scenery, few tourists and a horse in case my legs / lungs can't handle it. Starting in the village of Mollepata, we'll trek for 3 days to the train line at km82 where I'll catch the train to Machu Picchu.
Deserts & Gameparks
Eryn joined our 40 day Victoria Falls to Jo'burg trip in November 08. You can check out her blog by following the link below - this page is a good one if you want a bit more info on what it's like day to day on the truck.

Kingdoms and Carnivals
Jen and Terry left Quito on 17th September for their 15 week overland adventure to Rio. Check out their blog here
Steve & Ceris spent six days trekking the second highest mountain in Africa and it took away their breath, their appetite and a couple of pounds around their waistline but gave them fantastic views, friendly wildlife and a huge sense of achievement.
