UK Office Staff Change and Travel

julie-wooffinden1We’d like to welcome Julie to our UK Africa/ Middle East Sales and Operations Team. Julie has been a very popular Tour Leader for us in Africa and the Middle East since 2007. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience to answer all your Africa questions. Julie will be replacing Kate, who is returning to Africa as a Tour Leader and will be training new crew. We’d like to thank Kate for all her hard work and keeping us all smiling in the office-those of you who’ve been on a trip with Kate in the past will know what we’re talking about! She will be a hard act to follow but Julie has already got off to a great start!

We think it’s really important that our office staff visit our areas of operation regularly. To this extent, Mark has recently returned from a trip to Egypt and Jordan-highlights for him were the felucca trip on the Nile, Petra and the Egyptian people! Ceris spent a couple of weeks in East Africa. Congratulations to her on her successful Mount Kenya climb and we’re jealous of your balloon flight over the Serengeti! Chris and Jackie have just spent two months travelling from Kenya, to South Africa. They visited most of the places our trucks go to in that part of the world and tried out a few new ones! Highlights for them were seeing the progress that has been made at the Hupenyu Hutsva Children’s Home in Zimbabwe (one of the projects we support); horse riding and snorkelling at Kande Beach (Malawi) and rafting on the Nile at Jinja (Uganda). They’ve got a few ideas for new places to incorporate into our itineraries as well.

Andy, our South America Sales and Operations Manager is off to South America in May to meet up with our crew and local operators. Steve, Lin and Mark are off to Istanbul to meet up with crew and carry out vehicle inspections. Don’t worry though, there will always be a team of us here in the office to answer your calls and tell you about our travels if you’re interested. Don’t ask to see the photos though-there are thousands of them!!
