Oasis Trip for Zimbabwean Children

Oasis Overland have been working with the Hupenyu Hutsva Children’s Home in Zimbabwe for several years now and, for the last three, have been taking the children out for a week on a series of day trips. Two of our Africa crew,  Claire and Boyo, are preparing for our next ‘Kids Week’ as our crew have named it. From 16th December, Claire and Boyo will take all the children and staff  in the Home out for a week of day trips . The 146  children, all aged between 5 and 16 years, will travel by Oasis truck to a local nature reserve where they will have an opportunity to view and learn about the wildlife and then have some time for  fun and games and a big bbq lunch! We will end the week with a big party back at the Children’s Home. Our crew donate their time for free and Oasis supply the truck and fuel. The rest of the week-food, entrance fees and entertainment is funded with money raised by our office staff at one of their charity comedy nights-last one 27th November 2010. If you feel you would like to contribute in any way to our forthcoming ‘Kids Week’ please contact or click here for further information on our involvement with Hupenyu Hutsva.
