Latest news on our Middle East overland trips

Oasis Overland group camping at Wadi Rum, JordanWe are happy that both of our 21 day Oasis Nomad & 37 day Oasis Caravan trips have had successful and safe trips from Istanbul to Cairo.  Both groups had to fly over Syria in May, spending approximately £200 on the flight from Istanbul to Amman.  The days missed through Syria were spent in Turkey going back through favourite spots between Goreme and Istanbul and in Egypt relaxing on the Red Sea.

We recently had the Anzac trip finish in Egypt, enjoying their last day of the tour at the Pyramids.  The second truck group is now in Luxor visiting the Valley of the Kings before heading off on the feluccas! Even though we had to miss out on Syria, our thoughts are with our agent in Damascus and all the locals and friends throughout the country.  We hope to be back travelling through Syria when safe to do so.

For our future Middle East trips starting in or ending in Damascus, they will now be from Amman in Jordan. Those already booked will be contacted individually.

Our next departure is from Istanbul to Cairo on the 11 July followed by a Cairo to Istanbul departure on the 18th August.  Hopefully you have some last minute summer holidays to use up and are looking for an overland adventure!
