A nice surprise!

One of our tour leaders Ruth sent us this update from Namibia in Africa.

We are at the Cheetah Park in Namibia and we were all getting our pictures taken with these tame cheetahs. We got to stroke the cheetas and get up close to these amazing animals.  A flip flop was nearly ripped to shreds in the mean time but nothing else.  As we made our way back to the truck to drive to the on-site camp-site, we see this extremely tall animal in our truck.  YES it’s a  giraffe with his head in having a look to see if there is any food.  We all ran up and into the truck and say hello to the giraffe.  After about 10minutes he is bored of us, but we captured a photo of him as he walked off.  Yes he did eat the bag of chips that were left on a seat.

We were all laughing as our truck is called Twiga, which means giraffe in Swahili. So Twiga was in Twiga and the poor cheetahs were forgotten about. Well until the evening when we went on a game drive to feed the wild cheetahs.  After a day of exciting events we have kebabs and salad for tea and head to the bar for another interesting night on our overlanding trip.

We visit the Cheetah Park on the following Africa overland trips:

Deserts and Gameparks

Delta and Dunes

Coast to  Coast

Grand Adventurer

Be on TV Nairobi to Cape Town
