Our Overlanding Taster Weekends are held in the UK and cost £150 per person.

Book any of our overland truck trips in Africa, Central Asia or South America and the cost of your Taster Weekend is taken off your trip price!

Arriving on late Friday afternoon, you will erect and then sleep in your own Oasis tent followed by taking part in some group cooking challenges that evening and spending time by the camp fire with your fellow overlanders followed by an enjoyable hike the next day in the surrounding countryside, all in the great outdoors and all hosted by our experienced Oasis Overland team.

Saturday evening will be spent cooking and enjoying the company of other likeminded would-be travellers and also a great opportunity to pick the brains of our dedicated team here at Oasis Overland about all the trips we offer and what you can expect and a good few stories I am sure will be shared!

Chris Wrede, the founder of Oasis Overland will also be on hand to answer any questions and share the odd tall tale about his exploits!  Cycling from the UK to the Gambia and how he ended up in South America is a good place to start!

On Sunday morning there will be a fantastic brunch prepared by the crew and yourself if you so choose before heading off in the early afternoon.

Our overland vehicles are completely self-sufficient and are more frequently found in the wilds of Central Asia, Africa and South America so the New Forest or Derbyshire holds no fear for them!

We'll provide the Tents, food and equipment for the weekend.

You'll need to bring a sleeping bag, sleeping mat (or similar) and any other personal items needed - and maybe a bottle of wine or two?
