Overland trips in Africa, Central Asia and South America on our own purpose built
overlanding vehicles. Africa trips are mostly camping, while in South America and Central
Asia we spend time both camping and staying in hostels or simple hotels. When camping, we
generally stay at campsites with the occasional wild camp.
Overland Adventures are run on a participatory basis – you’ll be involved in the day to day
running of the trip and have fun helping to cook for the group. Expect to sometimes get
dusty and dishevelled and not to be able to have hot showers every night. Groups of up to 24
people are led by two Oasis crew.
Our Small Group Adventures travel through Pakistan, Peru, Bolivia, China, South East Asia and Morocco. Transport includes trains, mini vans, 4 x 4 vehicles, overnight sleeper coaches, private vehicles, camels and aeroplanes. You stay in locally owned hostels and hotels, allowing interaction with local communities, as well as the occasional night camping (e.g. Inca Trail). Meals are taken at local hotels, restaurant or cafes, so no cooking involved! Group size is limited to 16 people per tour leader. Please check individual itineraries for various modes of travel.
The BIG ones! Travel off the beaten track on ultimate overland expeditions of up to 47 weeks through Africa, Central Asia and South America. A tougher, more extreme style of our Overland Adventure trips; still using our purpose-built vehicles and with one or more Oasis crew leading up to 24 travellers. You must expect an even more active day to day involvement in the running of the trip and to wild camp more regularly where there are no facilities. These trips are often our most challenging and you’ll be away from civilisation for days at a time. Expeditions are generally long in duration and occasionally you will be travelling and camping in remote areas in extremes of weather. Step outside your comfort zone to travel somewhere different!
