This Valentine’s Day, Oasis Overland’s Africa Operations Team brought joy and adventure to 50 children and 7 staff from a Harare Children’s Home as part of our beloved annual “Kids Week” Day Trip. For over 20 years, we’ve supported the Home with essentials like food, educational supplies, and even a borehole, but this special outing is a highlight for everyone involved. Traveling in our Overland trucks, the children experienced the excitement of Harare city before arriving at Twala Trust Animal Sanctuary, a haven for 52 species of rescued animals. The day was filled with laughter, learning, and awe, leaving lasting memories for both the children and staff. Following the trip, we also provided a much-needed food supply to support the Home during challenging times, underscoring how a simple day out can have a meaningful and lasting impact.
