Coronavirus Update

Coronavirus Update - August 2020

As the Coronavirus/Covid19 outbreak continues, we would like to sincerely thank our clients, crew and local operators who have been so supportive and understanding during this incredibly difficult time.

We have now suspended all our Overland truck operations and most of our Small Group adventures until the start of September 2020 but we're planning for the future and intend to be back on the road soon!

All our clients that were on trips have managed to return home, our trucks are parked up and our crew have got to where they need to be. For those of you that contacted us during that time, thank you for your patience in waiting for a reply. It was a difficult and stressful process but we're so pleased that everyone is now safe and settled.

For trips beyond the start of September, we shall be continuing to monitor the situation. We are regularly updated by AITO and the FCO and we also use our local contacts out on the ground to keep us informed. We will always endeavour to run our trips where possible but as always, the safety and well-being of our travellers and our crew is our highest concern and as soon as we are back on the road we will have adopted a whole array of new policies and procedures to ensure we keep everyone as safe and well as we possibly can both prior to and on our adventures.

We here at Oasis Overland understand that you will have concerns or questions regarding your trip. While this is all unchartered waters with regards to what is happening the world over, we want to do what is best for you and your trip and we shall be in touch with you if there will be any changes to your trip. We are already in contact with all of those people whose trips are suspended or postponed.

If you have balance due dates coming up for trips that are currently still going ahead, please note that we are allowing all clients to pay final balances 4 weeks before the departure of your trip, and you can then get in touch with us by email to check the status of your trip at this point.

If you need to get in contact with us please do but we would ask that you email us as our small team are now all working from home. Please be patient in waiting for a reply as we are dealing with many more enquiries than normal.

When it is safe and practical to do so, we aim to have all our trips back on the road at the earliest opportunity so that we may support our local suppliers, charitable projects and of course our overseas crew as well as provide our travellers with an incredible adventure.

For those looking to book a trip in the future, please note we now have dates up until the end of 2022, so we hope there is one that can work for you. We understand that you may have concerns at the moment that the trip you book could end up being postponed or cancelled due to the current Covid-19 outbreak.  As such we are allowing anyone that books from now until further notice, to transfer their booking to another departure, up to 30 days prior to their original trip departure, should they be unable to travel due Coronavirus/Covid-19.  For example, if you became ill with the virus or if you were going to be restricted from entry to countries on the trip, or prevented from leaving your home country due to the outbreak.

In the meantime, please stay safe and well.
